togetherforever | 1st Night [Audio/Action for R29]

[Anyone who's walking through R29 might notice a ghostly-looking girl standing beside an ledge, looking as if she was going to jump. Of course, that would result in some serious injuries but she doesn't seem to mind standing there. The bandage on her knee might suggest she tried doing so but she looks fine other than the sullen look on her face. She looked almost like a statue just standing there doing nothing though.]

[Anyone passing by might get creeped out or just wonder why she's just standing there like a goddamn freak.]

[When audio feed comes on later that night, it's silent for a few moments except for some light breathing. When the sender finally decided to talk, her voice sounds distant and hesitant, as if she was going to collapse. Everything she says is basically a whisper so what she's saying might not come out clear enough.]

...Does anyone..know what this place is?

Am I...dead...or did I really find a way out...without--

[In the background, a Yamask's cry can be heard, stirring up an annoyed grumble from the quiet girl.] Sae, not now--

[Just then, sounds of an egg hatching could also be heard. Mayu gave a little "ah!" and audio cuts off from there.]

[While Mayu was a troubled person with issues, she has her moments of empathy, one being right now. The girl sounded significantly younger than her and she can't imagine what this girl has gone through wherever she came from. She wanted to say something but she wasn't exactly good with talking to people.]

..I'm sorry...to hear that.

[There was a brief silence before she spoke again.]

I was never alone. I always had my sister with me. We were....close. [There was emphasis on the "close" part cause complicated reasons.]

[Then she didn't have friends, but she is missing someone. Clementine is only feeling increasingly sorry for her - and tries to scramble back into her efforts to try to help her the way she was helped when she first came in.]

They told me that a lot of times, people come in who know ones who've been living here already. Maybe she's here! Or could be, sometime...

...Or if she can't... um - even though it's not the same... there are a lot of people here - who could be your friends. I made two on my first day -- and the three of us and our Pokémon have all been traveling together. [In half a beat, she blurts out the probably unhelpful addition:] It takes a long time to travel between the towns and it's good to know someone else is around... Besides your Pokémon.

[Could Mio really be here like she mentioned? Can the dead be brought here and come back to life? If that was possible, then what is kind of world is this? Was this...the Other Side?]

Do you know if someone who died...could be brought back to life if they come here?

[Well, Mayu isn't exactly the ideal model for physical fitness so that addition was somewhat helpful for future events.]
[Should she actually try to make friends here like Clementine suggested to do? She wasn't exactly the social butterfly back home but maybe here would be different?]

[That question catches her dead in her tracks again - she hadn't even thought to wonder that before. People can come from different universes into the Pokémon world from her. She's talked to aliens and people who've seen ghosts and heard that there are cartoon and video game characters here. Why should she assume that's not possible?]

...I don't know. ...I should find that out!

[She's going to have to, if anyone here had come back from the dead - the thought of seeing her parents or the others, or so many other people who could've lost others before get to have them stay here with them is just too much!

And so better to avoid thinking on for now before it makes her too restless. Back to the here, the now, and the girl she hopes she really is helping, even a little bit.]
